Citizens Advice East End announces funding from Independent Age
We’re delighted to share the news that our application for a grant from Independent Age to help older people experiencing financial hardship was successful. We are one of 19 organisations that have received a grant from Independent Age. This grant is from a £3.1 million fund that they set up to give to charities that provide advice to older people, ensuring they receive the financial support they are entitled to and are protected from unfair costs. This funding will help us extend our support to meet the demand from older people in Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets over the coming years. It means that we can reach not just the people who already know about us and would usually come to us, but also go further in helping us make a positive difference. We would like to thank Independent Age for their funding, which will help us support more older people in our community.
