Celebrating Volunteering at Citizens Advice East End
The first Monday in June marks the start of Volunteers’ Week, where we celebrate the amazing contribution our volunteers make to our services in Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets.
Almost 85 years ago a group of people got together to help their neighbours and communities with the impact of the Second World War. This was the beginnings of Citizens Advice. Today, with ever-increasing demand for our services, our volunteers continue to play a key role in delivering high quality advice to our communities.
Our clients’ first point of contact is frequently with one of our volunteers. Behind the scenes, volunteers carry out research and campaign on key issues, provide IT support and administrative support to our advisers, too. And, of course, or organisation is led by volunteer trustees.
The value of your contribution as a volunteer is priceless. We thank you all for your support and commitment.
